Last updated: 18 October 2026

1. Who We Are

This website is operated by The Chicken Dudes Ltd (company number SC781067), trading as Duke's Leith, of 31 Duke Street, Leith, Edinburgh EH6 8HH. When this policy refers to "we", "us" or "our", it means The Chicken Dudes Ltd.

2. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site owner. Cookies do not contain any information that personally identifies you, but personal information that we store about you may be linked to the information stored in and obtained from cookies.

3. Cookies We Use

We use the following on this website. The first three are small preferences saved in your browser’s storage rather than cookies, and are never sent to us:

Cookie	Type	Purpose
dukes_cookie_consent	Essential	Stores your cookie consent preference so we don't ask again on every visit.
dukes_promo_dismissed	Essential	Remembers that you have closed the promotional banner, so it stays closed.
gc-popup-seen	Essential	Remembers that you have seen our pop-up offer, so it doesn’t open again on every page.
ResDiary	Essential (third party)	Our Book Now page shows ResDiary’s booking system, which may set cookies needed to complete a booking you start. See ResDiary’s privacy policy.

We do not use analytics cookies (e.g. Google Analytics), advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking cookies. If this changes, this policy will be updated. For how we handle personal information more generally, see our Privacy Notice.

4. Essential Cookies

Some cookies are strictly necessary for the website to function. These cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually set in response to actions you take, such as dismissing a banner or setting your cookie preferences. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the site may not work as a result.

5. How to Control Cookies

You can control and/or delete cookies as you wish. You can delete all cookies that are already on your device and you can set most browsers to prevent them from being placed. If you do this, however, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit a site.

For more information on managing cookies, visit aboutcookies.org or refer to your browser's help documentation.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
